PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
IZONIL UNIVERSAL is a waterproof dry plaster mixture designed to create a protective layer while remaining air permeable. It offers a long-term solution for water leakage issues on wall surfaces, making it ideal for buildings needing protection from moisture damage. Additionally, it is free from harmful substances, ensuring safety in various applications.

USES
For a full water-insulation of exterior walls. Resists not only water but also nitric salts, preventing efflorescence.

APPLICATION
Surface preparation: The surface must be solid and free from loose particles and paint. It must not be greasy, acid, water-repellent or alcoholic base. Surface must be suitably wetted with water, before plaster application.
Mixing: Preparation is done using a gravity mixer, an electric hand mixing tool, or a manual stirrer after adding 3.7 - 3.9 liters of water to a 25 kg bag of IZONIL UNIVERSAL. Do not add anything into mixed composition!
Mixing by electric hand mixer: Add 3.7-3.9 liter of water into the bucket first. IMPORTANT! Water dosage must be exact, measuring cup must be used. Mix or stir for 5 min., keep the material rest for 5 min. and then final 1 min. mixing before application. It is recommended to use low rotation speed of the electrical mixing tool.

Mixing in gravity mixer: As first add water to gravity mixer. The amount of water required is 3.7-3.9 liters multiplied by the number of IZONIL UNIVERSAL bags being mixed in one batch. As second add IZONIL UNIVERSAL to the gravity mixer. Mix for 10 minutes. Mixed material must be worked up within 3 hours.

APPLICATION:
IZONIL UNIVERSAL is applied manually (using standard tools for plastering). Minimum Application layer is 10 mm. It is recommended to use fiberglass mesh to prevent hairline cracks. Recommended specification of fiberglass mesh is 5 mm x 5 mm (size) and 145 g/m 2 (weight). Fiberglass mesh is applied close to the final surface. First, approx. 70% of total thickness of IZONIL UNIVERSAL is applied (e.g. 7 mm at 10 mm total thickness), then fiberglass mesh is gently pushed with trowel into fresh layer of IZONIL UNIVERSAL and the rest 30% of total thickness of IZONIL UNIVERSAL is applied immediately (e.g. 3 mm at 10 mm total thickness). The surface of IZONIL UNIVERSAL is finished in the same way as ordinary cement-based plasters using a foam or trowel. Care after application: It is necessary to prevent the plaster from too fast drying since the optimal moistness enables permanent hydration of cement materials and minimization of cracking. Keep the surface of the plaster permanently wet for 2 days especially at dry and windy weather or at direct sunshine. The last layer can be painted by interior or exterior colour or faced by tiles. In case of tiles laying on it is necessary to rough up the plaster. Important: At plastering of extremely moist brickwork with plaster, aggregation of water drops onto plaster surface can occur. It is inherent forcing the water out of vicinity and the drops will disappear when the plaster gets hard.

CLEANING:
Clear water is used for disposal of plaster for the tools and equipment.
Hardened material can be disposed only in a mechanical way.

STORAGE AND PACKING:
IZONIL UNIVERSAL is supplied in 25Kg bags with a shelf life of 24 months if kept in a dry place.

COVERAGE: 25 Kg bag of IZONIL UNIVERSAL can cover area of 2.0 m2 with layer thickness of 10 mm
