PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
IZONIL EXTRA is an extremely waterproof dry plaster mixture that creates a waterproof layer upon application while remaining air-permeable. It provides a long-term solution for eliminating water leakage issues on wall and floor surfaces. This plaster is an ideal choice for buildings requiring protection from water damage.
IZONIL EXTRA is free from harmful substances, making it safe for insulating tanks that store drinking water.

APPLICATION
Surface preparation: The surface must be solid, free from loose materials, paint, grease, acids, or water-repellent substances. Before applying the plaster, the surface must be appropriately wetted with water.
Mixing: Preparation is being made in gravity mixer, electric hand mixing tool or with manual
stirrer after adding 6.3 - 6.6 liters of water to one 25 kg bag IZONIL EXTRA. Do not add anything into
mixed composition!
Mixing by electric hand mixer: Add 6.2 - 6.5 liter of water into the bucket first. IMPORTANT! Water dosage must be exact, measuring cup must be used. Mix or stir for 5 min., keep the
material rest for 5 min. and then final 1 min. mixing before application. It is recommended to use low
rotation speed of the electrical mixing tool
Mixing in gravity mixer: As first add water to gravity mixer. Amount of water is: 5.5-5.9 liter multiply by
number of IZONIL EXTRA bags which going to be mixed in one batch. As second add IZONIL EXTRA to the
gravity mixer. Mix for 10 minutes. Mixed material must be worked up within 3 hours.
Application: The plaster is being laid on to prepared ground manually with a smoother or with spray
applicator. Apply layer of IZONIL EXTRA in the thickness from 5 to 8 mm. Immediately press fiberglass mesh
with the application tool in to the layer of IZONIL EXTRA. Fiberglass mesh should be in top layer. Continue
with application. Recommended size of Fiberglass mesh should be 5 x 5 mm and weight 140 grams/m2.
Fiberglass mesh should be in the top layer. When connecting layers, overlap by at least 100 mm. Recommended finish of the surface is with plastic broom.
Post-Application Care: It is necessary to prevent the plaster from too fast drying since the optimal
moistness enables permanent hydration of cement materials and minimization of cracking. Keep the surface
of the plaster permanently wet for 2 days especially at dry and windy weather or at direct sunshine. The last
layer can be painted by interior or exterior color or faced by tiles. In case of tiles laying on it is necessary to
rough up the plaster.
Important: During plastering of extremely moist brickwork with plaster, aggregation of water drops onto plaster surface can occur. It is inherent forcing the water out of vicinity and the drops will disappear when the plaster gets hard.
Cleaning: Use clean water to remove excess plaster from tools and equipment. Any hardened material must be removed mechanically.

STORAGE AND PACKING
IZONIL EXTRA is supplied in 25kg bags with a 24-month shelf life, provided it is stored in a dry place.

COVERAGE
One 25kg bag of IZONIL EXTRA covers approximately 3.0 m² with a 5-8 mm thick layer.
