ANQA OXIDIZED
High-Performance Oxidized Bitumen for Roofing and Waterproofing

DESCRIPTION:
Oxidized Asphalt produced with selected petroleum asphalts, air-blown to the required specification without catalysts or any additives.

ADVANTAGES:
- Highly stable during melting
- High flash point
- Ideal to use for tropical regions

USAGE:
- Used in Built-Up Roof (BUR) construction, manufacturing of some modified asphalt systems
- Installation of bituminous vapor retarder systems and cementing insulation boards used in various types of roof systems.
- Used on horizontal surfaces and inclines not exceeding a 25% slope.
- High softening point, Ideal for use in tropical regions.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Asphalt for bonding layers of BUR by mopping or by the pour and roll method, should be heated to a temperature between 180 and 200 ºC. The use of a boiler fitted with a thermometer is recommended.

Cleaning:
The asphalt can be removed from equipment and tools with kerosene or gasoline.

Coverage:
Bonding Coat : approx. 1.5 kg/m2
Flood Coat : approx. 3.0 kg/m2

SUPPLY:
• Gross Weight: 140kg/ Drum - 4 Drums/Pallet

SHELF LIFE:
No special storing instructions for asphalt packed in drums.

HEALTH & SAFETY:
Personnel should wear protective masks, gloves and goggles during application.

Precautions:
Care should be taken when heating the material to avoid overheating.
